Faces of Hope, Tampa Bay Business Owners, & The 3rd Annual Christmas In July!

Pepito recieves donation from TBBO

Christmas does not have to be limited to December. Here in Tampa, the TBBO decided to host a celebratory fundraising party in July; the theme was Christmas with Tequila. The party exuded good cheer and merriment. It was a huge success!

The event was held at TPepin Hospitality Centre and is located at 4121 N. 50th Street Tampa, FL.

Sponsors who donated prizes for the raffle tickets were: The David Katz Company, who donated A Microsoft Surface Tablet; Sandler Sales with Rusty Fox, who donated an I-Pad; and Scott Dollar with Data Tech, who donated a Kindle Fire.

Pepito and Children Cancer Center

The proceeds of the raffle tickets were split between two charitable non-profit organizations: Children Cancer Center and Pepito’s Faces of Hope. Close to $1300 was raised for each organization.

Pepito plans to utilize the funds to buy canvas, frames, and supplies to share a gift of a lifetime, to children with life-threatening illnesses, by providing a day they will never forget.

Pepito would like to thank all who have donated their time, talent, and treasure to those who have made Pepito’s Faces of Hope a reality.

Metropolitan Ministries: Real Changes For Better Lives

At Metropolitan Ministries, “hope lives here.” A slogan, yes, but a true fact to anyone who has set foot into the facilities which currently holds fifty adults and one-hundred and twenty children, according to Tim Marks the president of Metropolitan Ministries, the average stay in this hope filled facility is six months.

Thanks to people like Elaine Thomas, a thirty year veteran in community development who now works as a housing specialist, loving residencies are established. Elaine miraculously finds homes for two to three people a day. What is even more astounding about the work done at Metropolitan Ministries is in a yearly check-up; after leaving the premises,  ninety-seven percent of Elaine’s clients are still nurturing and occupying the living circumstances which were established after leaving the hope sanctuary. Pepito Speaker for Tampa Bay Business Organization

Pepito Interview

At the Tampa Bay Business Owners (TBBO) meeting, December 2012,  prominent artists from our community Duncan McClellan and Pepito Masterpiece Portraits came together to discuss community outreach through the establishment of non-profits, successful business practices, and the consistent call to everyone to follow one’s true bliss.

After the surgery he continued to paint around St. Petersburg. His presence in the St. Petersburg art community will be missed, but will always be remembered through his extraordinary fish paintings.
